Ted West is an avid basketball lover and a supporter of Maine's local economy, as such he became an owner of the Maine Red Claws (the NBA G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics) in 2006. Ted remains an owner of the team to this day.

Ted started his finance/ loan acquisition company over 2 decades ago in 1995. Atlantic National Trust and its investment affiliates/ subsidiaries are referred to as The Atlantic Group.
